Krajišnici supported Bakir and will be deceived again

The attitude of Sarajevo towards Cazin Krajina has always been stepmotherly; for centuries, this region of our country has been neglected and placed in an unfavorable position.

Often, the rulers in Sarajevo made decisions hastily, and by imposing their protégés, they tried to thwart the majority will of the people of Krajina. These bigwigs in Sarajevo, according to their own whims, appointed suitable individuals to power in Krajina.

Electoral Will

Post-election calculations show that the people of Krajina, for who knows what time, could be deceived, as could their electoral will.

Namely, when it was most needed to support SDA and Bakir Izetbegović, it was precisely the people of Krajina who did so – Bakir Izetbegović, with a difference of over 10,500 votes, won against his fierce rival Fahrudin Radončić precisely in Krajina, unlike, for example, in Sarajevo and Zenica where Radončić defeated Izetbegović.

As a "reward," the people of Krajina have received nothing so far, while the areas where Izetbegović suffered defeat are being rewarded, so the representatives of Sarajevo and Zenica, above all, will apparently be key figures in the new government and will occupy the most significant positions in the country.

The Executive Board of the SDA Cantonal Board of Una-Sana Canton, at its 13th regular session, held in Bihać on December 8, discussing these issues, unanimously concluded that in the process of implementing the government in the executive bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina - the Council of Ministers of BiH - one of the ministerial positions in that Council to be filled by SDA should be secured for a candidate from USK. The candidate from SDA Una-Sana Canton for the position of minister in the Council of Ministers of BiH is Senad Šepić, vice-president of SDA and a member of the BiH Parliament. 

This position was unanimously accepted at the Krajina level, and with its realization, candidate Šemsudin Dedić from Bihać would fill the position of parliamentarian instead of Šepić, who would fight for Krajina and BiH in the Council of Ministers of BiH for the next four years. 

Distribution of Positions

Also, the Executive Board of the SDA USK Cantonal Board, as an alternative, and keeping in mind the distribution and potential positions that will fall to SDA in the distribution and inter-party agreement at the BiH level, has identified the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Federation of BiH as a priority for USK, and if not appointed to the Council of Ministers of BiH, proposes Vice-President Senad Šepić for the Minister of Transport and Communications in the Government of the Federation of BiH.

It is a statistical fact that Senad Šepić was by far the most active representative in previous mandates, and it is also known that he played a key role in the rejuvenation of the party with the "Political Academy."

However, despite the clearly stated positions of the Cantonal Board of SDA, despite the unity achieved in Krajina, some voices from the SDA Central Committee announce a different outcome, and thus certainly a new split in the SDA.

Such a policy was almost fatal for the SDA in Krajina when the split occurred and A-SDA was quite justifiably founded, so it would be strange if they learned nothing from it or if they simply didn't care. If it weren't for Šepić and the president of the Cantonal Board, Esad Bašagić, at that time, it is questionable how the SDA in Krajina would have survived at all. The patriotism of the people of Krajina is unquestionable, but everything has its limits, and therefore it would not be wise to experiment with Krajina again, which only pays contributions to the state budget and is never asked for anything, and to which Zagreb and Ljubljana are geographically closer than Sarajevo.

How long will Senad Šepić, Esad Bašagić, and their associates be able to tie Krajina to Sarajevo, when they too are exploited and discarded in every election cycle?
