Kragujevac: One person killed in explosion, three missing, dozens injured

One person has been killed, three are missing, and 25 members of the Serbian Army and the Ministry of Internal Affairs were injured in an explosion that occurred while extinguishing a fire at the Technical Overhaul Institute in Kragujevac, the Serbian Ministry of Defence announced, reports Patria.

All the injured, it is stated, have been admitted to the Clinical Centre in Kragujevac and are out of danger. Relatives and friends of the injured gathered in front of the Clinical Centre in Kragujevac.

The explosion occurred around 1:45 PM when warehouse A28, which contained a large quantity of rifle grenades and other types of ammunition, exploded. Another explosion occurred during the firefighting efforts.

After the explosion, the roof of the warehouse collapsed due to the high temperature during the firefighting.
