(Patria) - I responsibly claim that what was requested from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Annual National Program (ANP), was sent to NATO headquarters in Brussels, although it was given a different name - the Reform Program", former BiH military representative to NATO, Alija Kožljak, stated for Radio Free Europe (RSE).
Kožljak bases this assertion on the structure of the document, which, as he says, absolutely matches the structure of the Annual National Program that many countries sent to NATO before BiH and which he had the opportunity to see.
"In the case of BiH, it is possible that two chapters are summarized into one, political and economic aspects, but everything is covered in terms of content. Since the foreign ministers of NATO member states offered Bosnia and Herzegovina to submit an ANP in December 2018, the response from this country could only have been the Annual National Program, because the cooperation mechanisms are known", says Kožljak.
"Regarding the debate on Monday in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska", adds Kožljak, "the deputies had translations on their desks, and there is no significant substantive difference between the translation and the original. It is true that the English text mentions ANP in a couple of places, and that was not translated".
"I must say that the mention of ANP in the document has a significant link between what NATO requested and what was sent from Sarajevo as a response. Also, tables detailing specific tasks and obligations, divided by holders or actors who will implement the program goals of the Reform Program, were missing", says Kožljak.
