Kovačević: What happened in Brussels was not a terrorist attack, Europe is definitely at war

Professor at the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies in Sarajevo Dr. Goran Kovačević told Patria that what happened in Brussels was not a terrorist act, but that Europe is definitely at war, it just does not want to admit it.

This morning, a series of explosions rocked Belgium, killing more than 15 people and wounding dozens. The first explosion occurred at Brussels Airport, followed by another in the metro, near the buildings of European Union institutions.

- The explosions could be a response to the West's treatment of refugees from the Middle East, they could also be a response to the fact that the West is definitely meddling too much in the countries of the Middle East, but they could also be a response from Belgians who want to send a message to their government that their policy is heading in the wrong direction. We still cannot say with certainty what the motives of the attackers were - said Kovačević, Patria reports.
