Kovačević: Filming of the 'Rez' operation is not in the service of deradicalization, they are stigmatized even before the court proceedings

Regarding the arrests within the operation "Rez", the guest on TV1's Dnevnik was Goran Kovačević, a professor at the Sarajevo Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies, who very clearly explained what the mistakes of this operation were, reports the Patria news agency.

- If we observe what happened in the operation "Rez" up to the order of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, everything is in order and according to procedures. What happened afterwards with the members of the Federal Police Administration, where the operation was also covered by the media, is wrong and is not in the service of deradicalization, which society and official policies should work on, but rather in the service of radicalization. Because, what if it turns out that the persons brought in in this operation, who are already socially stigmatized, have been labeled as terrorists and an informal judicial process has begun against them, the public has already condemned them as terrorists, while the formal part has not even started.

We saw that the events in Rajlovac are also linked to this, but to this day we do not have an official report on whether what happened in Rajlovac was terrorism. We also do not have a report on what happened in Zvornik. So, how can we connect cases if there is still no official report on what it is about - said Kovačević.
