Shirts, Sweaters, Emblems, Handcuffs: Who Is Selling Police Uniforms and Equipment Online

On the website olx.ba, intended for buying and selling everything from a needle to a locomotive, one can also find clothing items from various security agencies and the police, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Thus, a summer shirt of the MUP ZDK can be found for 15 KM. MUP ZDK spokesperson Aldina Ahmić told the Patria agency, after we sent her the advertisement in which the shirt is being sold, that they are aware of such cases.

- Based on the photograph, we cannot say whether it is an original, but colleagues are conducting checks and we will see what it is about. Of course, we do not allow such cases and do everything to prevent them – said Ahmić.

Also on offer is a complete police uniform, as well as jackets, with the price negotiable. A police windbreaker is 30 KM.

One seller has put up sweaters of the Border Police of BiH in "good condition" at a price of 30 KM, while both can be had for 50 KM. A long-sleeve shirt of the Border Police is 20 KM.

Various emblems of the MUP are also on offer, and the one used on uniforms of the Sarajevo police costs 7 KM.

One advertisement also offers real police handcuffs costing 50 KM.

Although the media have previously written about this illegal phenomenon, there are no decisive actions against the sellers, even though most advertisements contain a phone number and the location from which the ad was posted.

Earlier, Patria found advertisements offering emblems of the FUP, SIPA, OSA, as well as uniforms of these agencies.
