Zlatko Hume (24) from Mostar, an employee of the Intelligence-Security Agency of BiH (OSA) has been charged with endangering public safety, after he threw an explosive device near the Salakovac tunnel late last year, in front of the car carrying the head of the Armed Forces of BiH, General Ante Jeleč.
Večernji list writes that Humo stated in his testimony that it was all just a joke, that he did not want to endanger anyone, he did not know that a car would pass by at the moment the device was activated, and he especially did not know that General Jeleč was travelling in that particular vehicle.
The entire case initially went in a completely wrong direction, writes the Patria agency. The media reported that a terrorist attack was carried out against General Jeleč. The situation looked more dangerous because just a few days earlier, two soldiers of the Armed Forces were killed in Rajlovac while they were at a sports betting shop.
Head of OSA Osman Mehmedagić said that disciplinary proceedings have already been initiated against Hume, and prosecutor Maja Čišić stated that the entire case is being treated as endangering public safety, writes NAP.
