Kosovo Police Intercepted a Car with Belgrade Plates Full of Weapons Near Zvečan Municipality Building

(Patria) - A vehicle with Belgrade plates containing weapons was stopped about 100 meters from the Zvečan municipality building in northern Kosovo. 

Kosovo Police prevented a terrorist attack, said Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Svecla. 

The minister stated that a significant amount of weapons was found in this car – RPGs, hand grenades, explosives, and ammunition with uniforms.

In the available photos he published, a parked car with Belgrade plates is visible, with its trunk containing items resembling weapons, even with the inscription "osa 2 punjenja" (osa 2 charges), a backpack, a metal box, and two objects resembling gunstocks protruding.

"All these tools are intended and serve to carry out terrorist attacks on citizens and institutions of the Republic of Kosovo. This is another proof that Serbia, through such groups and organizations, aims to destabilize our country. Kosovo Police, along with all other security agencies, continue their duties in preventing any possible act aimed at endangering the security of our country.

This case confirms the information received by the security institutions of the Republic of Kosovo that in recent weeks, cars and other vehicles with military weapons have entered Kosovo from the territory of Serbia," the minister stated.
