KOSOVO Shooting at bus, three killed, one wounded

(Patria) - In a shooting at a bus with students in the village of Glođane near Dečani in Kosovo, three people were killed and one wounded.

The motives for the attack are not yet known, said for Radio Free Europe the spokesperson of the Kosovo Police for the Peja region, Fadil Gashi.

"The Kosovo Police is at the scene and is investigating all relevant traces," said Gashi. According to his words, the injured person is out of life-threatening danger.

The mayor of Dečani, Bashkim Ramosaj, said that among the dead are two students from the village of Glođane.

"We still do not know exactly what happened," he stated.

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, stated that the attack on the school bus is a blow to security.

"I call on law enforcement to find the perpetrators of the crime as soon as possible and bring them to justice," Osmani wrote on her Facebook profile.

She described the shooting as shocking news and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.

"The safety of citizens is a priority, so we will not give up on this mission," she said.

The spokesperson of the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Peja, Shkodran Nikqi, confirmed for RSE that the case is being investigated.
