Košarac: If necessary, we will ban the export of certain goods

SARAJevo, (Patria) - All companies in BiH that have problems in foreign trade should inform the competent chambers of commerce, which, together with the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, will solve the problems.

As stated by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, Staša Košarac, after a meeting with representatives of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska, the Chamber of Commerce of FBiH, the Chamber of Commerce of Brčko District, and the Union of Employers' Associations of Republika Srpska and the Association of Employers of FBiH, the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH will be the main center for collecting information that will be transferred to his ministry with the aim of rapid reaction to help companies, especially those involved in transport, which have had many problems in recent days.

"What is completely clear, based on analyses that surveyed 250 companies, is that processing companies, transport companies, i.e., small and medium-sized enterprises, and certainly tourism are already experiencing the biggest consequences. Around 850,000 overnight stays have already been canceled in tourist facilities. We are aware that in addition to these daily problems, we will have significant consequences for the economy of BiH. We will seek solutions, this is a process that will take a long time," Košarac said, as reported by N1.

He announced that they also talked with retail chains and that measures will be adopted to freeze food prices and prevent increases, emphasizing that they will not allow anyone to get rich at the expense of citizens in such situations. He pointed out that at today's meeting, they discussed how to help the economy in terms of paying taxes and contributions, and paying profit tax.
