CORRUPTION Six individuals to be handed over to the KS Prosecutor's Office, driving school owned by SDP member Elvedin Korora also under investigation

(Patria) - Police officers of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs Police Administration, under the supervision of acting prosecutors of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, have realized an operation codenamed "Abstergo" with the aim of documenting the criminal offenses of Abuse of Position or Authority and Receiving Gifts and Other Forms of Benefit.

Searches were conducted at 15 locations in the Sarajevo Canton area, and items requested by the Order were found and seized.

Fifteen men and one woman were apprehended. After criminal processing, individuals A.M. (1962), K.Z. (1967), E.Z. (1965), Z.H. (1972), M.B. (1962), and F.Z. (1957) will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the KS Prosecutor's Office. At the same time, a larger number of witnesses are being interviewed at the official premises of the KS Ministry of Internal Affairs Police Administration.

Among the individuals undergoing criminal processing are members of the Commission for Driving Test Examinations, an employee of the Ministry of Education and Science of Sarajevo Canton - Sector for Traffic and Education, an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, and the owner of a driving school from Sarajevo. They are suspected of having favored approximately 45 candidates during driving tests in Sarajevo in the past period.

As Patria has learned, the driving school in question is Korora. The owner and director of this driving school is Elvedin Korora, a long-time member of the Commission for Driving Test Examinations in Sarajevo Canton. Korora is also a professor at the Secondary Traffic School in Sarajevo. Korora was also a councilor in the Municipal Council Novo Sarajevo in the 2020-2024 mandate for SDP BiH.

The "Abstergo" case is a continuation of the joint activities of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office and the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs Police Administration in the fight against systemic corruption.
