Cormack sworn in in Washington, arriving in Sarajevo soon

The new Ambassador of the United States of America, Maureen Cormack, was sworn in today in Washington, ahead of her arrival in BiH, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

- During the appointment of Maureen Cormack as our ambassador, President Obama reiterated his commitment to our strong bilateral ties - said Under Secretary Patrick Kennedy.

Her imminent arrival is expected at the US Embassy in BiH, and until then, Nicholas Hill continues to perform duties.

BiH has been without an ambassador for a long time, after Patrick Moon's departure in August 2013. In addition to BiH, dozens of other countries around the world did not have a US ambassador, which was finally resolved in the Senate at the end of November.
