Corridor Vc: 100 million euro loan for the Počitelj-Zvirovići subsection

With today's Decision, the Federal Government accepted the indebtedness of the Federation of BiH under the Financing Agreement between the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Bosnia and Herzegovina for the implementation of the Corridor Vc Project in the amount of 100,000,000 euros for the Public Company Motorways of the Federation of BiH d.d. Mostar, reports the Patria news agency.  

These funds are intended for the implementation of the Corridor Vc Project on the Počitelj - Bijača section, the Počitelj - Zvirovići subsection. The funds are approved to the Federation of BiH with a term of 25 years and a six-year grace period, and the loan will be transferred to the Motorways of the FBiH.

At the same time, the FBiH Government gave consent for the conclusion of the Subsidiary Agreement with BiH, as well as for the conclusion and harmonization of the corresponding Subcontract with the Motorways of the FBiH, which will define the conditions for the repayment of funds for the purpose of regular repayment.

For the signing of the Subsidiary Agreement and the Loan Subcontract, the Government authorized the federal Minister of Finance.

The Počitelj - Zvirovići subsection, 11.2 kilometers long, begins at the Počitelj interchange, located approximately 1.8 km west of the settlement of Domanovići. The route extends along the Počitelj plateau towards the south and at the village of Gradina turns west where it crosses the Neretva River from the northern side of Počitelj. The crossing over the Neretva River, as well as the M17 main road, then the regional road and the Ploče – Sarajevo railway line, will be achieved by a bridge with a length of 980 meters and a pier height of 85 meters.

After that, the route enters slightly more difficult terrain, which it overcomes with two shorter tunnels (240 m and 460 m) and two viaducts of 155 m each. Further on, the motorway extends along the plateau of Mount Crna greda towards the Zvirovići (Međugorje) interchange, where it ends, it was announced from the FBiH Government.
