Convoy of humanitarian aid from BiH arrives at the Turkish-Syrian border

The humanitarian aid convoy "BiH for Syria" with 120 tons of flour from the local non-governmental humanitarian organization MFS-EMMAUS arrived today in front of the logistics center of the Turkish organization IHH.

All aid convoys for Syrian refugees arrive at this Center. The logistics center also houses a large bakery, which produces 110,000 flatbreads daily, distributed to Syrian refugees, orphan families, and other persons in need. Daily production of flatbreads requires the consumption of 7.5 tons of flour, and sometimes this amount is even higher, exceeding 11 tons of flour.

MFS-EMMAUS employees, who have been staying at the Turkish-Syrian border in the city of Reyhanlı for three days, visited the bakeries where flatbreads are prepared for refugees in the camps, the hospital where the wounded are accommodated, orphanages, and in the coming days, they will assist in unloading flour and distributing flatbreads to Syrian refugees.

The second convoy of aid from MFS-EMMAUS, with five trucks of flour, departed on January 25th, and was organized following a great response and solidarity from the citizens of BiH with the people of Syria.
