Konjic: BiH Armed Forces helicopter extinguishing fire in Turija area

After the fire at the Bijela site was successfully extinguished yesterday, today at 3:20 PM, the Armed Forces of BiH, in accordance with procedures and at the request of the Civil Protection Service of Konjic municipality, engaged one Mi8-MTV helicopter from the 2nd Helicopter Squadron of the Air Force and Anti-Aircraft Defence Brigade, to extinguish the fire in the Turija area, Konjic municipality.

Given that the fire site is inaccessible and forested, and that there is a risk of spreading and engulfing larger areas, a helicopter of the BiH Armed Forces was engaged.

The Mi8-MTV helicopter team from the 2nd Helicopter Squadron of the BiH Armed Forces has successfully extinguished fires in recent days on Treskavica mountain, Rujišta site, Mostar municipality, and at the Bijela site, Konjic municipality.
