Press Conference Following Idaho Tragedy: Emergency Management Agency Provides New Details on Shooting

The Kootenai County Emergency Management Agency held a press conference regarding the tragic shooting in the US state of Idaho, where new information was presented about the incident in which two firefighters were killed.

As a reminder, the shooting occurred during a fire department response to a call at a residential building. Although the details of the event are still under investigation, authorities confirmed that a male suspect opened fire with a firearm towards emergency responders, resulting in the deaths of two firefighters and the injury of a third.

Representatives of the Agency emphasized that this is an "unprecedented tragedy" that has deeply shaken the entire community. Additional police and forensic teams have been deployed to the scene, and citizens have been urged to cooperate and exercise caution while the investigation is ongoing.

“Our firefighters are heroes who gave their lives trying to help others. Today, we mourn together with their families and colleagues,” said the Head of the Emergency Management Agency during the address.
