Concert by Zagreb Soloists in the Cathedral

The concert by Zagreb Soloists in the Sarajevo Cathedral will conclude the concert program within the 12th International Music Festival Bosnia, better known as BIMF. The concert will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016, starting at 8 PM. This cultural event will be realized under the patronage of the City of Zagreb and the Mayor of the City of Zagreb, Milan Bandić, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, in partnership with the Old Town Municipality of Sarajevo and the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, and the main partner and co-organizer is the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in BiH, without whose help the concert would not have been possible, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The concert program includes works by Mozart, Corelli, Bartók, Papandopulo, Sorkočević, children composers from SOS villages, Masleša and Piazzolla – for a 'happy ending' to our beautiful fairy tale in tango style. This year again, the concert by Zagreb Soloists in Sarajevo will present a world premiere. Before the concert, the audience will be addressed by the envoy of the Mayor of the City of Zagreb and Head of Department, Ms. Mirka Jozić, the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to BiH, Mr. Ivan del Vecchio, a representative of the Old Town Municipality, and Zemira Masleša, director of BIMF.

We remind you that the Old Town Municipality of Sarajevo, through its Local Development Sector, provided financial and technical support for the street performance "One Heart", held on the square in front of the Cathedral. This event was organized on July 13, 2016, as part of the 12th International Music Festival "Bosna". This year's BIMF slogan is: True joy is in unity and recognizing the value of women. On this occasion, the Old Town Municipality invites all interested citizens to attend the concert by Zagreb Soloists in the Cathedral tomorrow.
