Crvena Jabuka Concert in Ilidža Graced Statehood Day of BiH Celebration

(Patria) - A free concert by the band Crvena Jabuka in the center of Ilidža on Friday evening celebrated the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The performance of the cult band was the culmination of a day-long event marking one of the most important dates in our country's history, organized by the Municipality of Ilidža.

- Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the most important dates in its centuries-long history. In this way, God willing, we will celebrate every upcoming major state holiday - said the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Nermin Muzur, in a short address to the visitors in Rustempašina Street, in the center of Ilidža, extending congratulations on Statehood Day.

Low temperatures were not an obstacle for lovers of good music to enjoy the performance of Crvena Jabuka, which began shortly after 8:00 PM and lasted more than two hours.

Residents of the buildings in Rustempašina Street in the very center of Ilidža also enjoyed the hits of the famous band, with their windows and balconies serving as true VIP boxes for last night's concert.

Dancing on the balcony, an elderly lady "stole" the show from Crvena Jabuka's frontman, Dražen Žerić Žera, at the concert in Rustempašina, later earning ovations from the entire audience.

Hits like "Tamo gdje ljubav počinje", "Kad kazaljke se poklope", "Nekako s proljeća", "Moje najmilije", "Tugo nesrećo", and others were topped off with a spectacular fireworks display prepared by the organizers, the Municipality of Ilidža and the Public Institution Cultural Sports and Recreation Center Ilidža.

At the end of the concert, Žera invited the famous hitmaker Mirko Šenkovski Geronimo to the stage, with whom he sang the lyrics of the song "Stari moj".

According to security estimates, more than 10,000 people passed through the fenced-off area where the concert was held, and everything concluded without a single incident.
