Konaković: This week we will know whether the Ministry of Interior or the Prosecutor's Office is responsible for investigative failures

Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Elmedin Konaković came out in front of the building of the Government of Sarajevo Canton and listened to the demands of the family of the murdered young man Dženan Memić. He said that this family has had his support from the very beginning, reports a reporter from the Patria news agency.

- What is happening in Sarajevo Canton has two aspects: one is the grief and pain that no activity of ours can compensate for the family, and the other is the security of this entire system and the obvious failures in one of these two bodies that are the most important in the security system, namely the Prosecutor's Office and the police. Minister of Interior of Sarajevo Canton Ismir Jusko, Minister of Justice Mario Nenenadić and I have repeatedly spoken with everyone leading the investigation, and we expected that something would happen in the near future that would satisfy justice in this world - said Konaković.

The Prime Minister said that in these 100 days there has been no information, and they are often told as a government not to interfere in investigations.

- At the next session of the Government of Sarajevo Canton, we will consider your requests to the Assembly, and as a government we will give absolute support to your requests. It is obvious that this must be placed under a greater prism of pressure so that the entire public in Bosnia and Herzegovina knows that we are on the side of justice. We will request that this item be included on the Assembly's agenda, and we will request the formation of an expert team.

This week we expect some new results of investigations that indicate either a failure of the police in the first possible report or a failure of the Prosecutor's Office in the further procedure of conducting this investigation. This government is absolutely at your disposal.
