Konaković: Izetbegović's nervous reaction, state can be built with Zvizdić

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – President of People and Justice Elmedin Konaković said tonight that BiH authorities are taking on debt even without a pandemic.

“These arrangements with the IMF have become a traditional concept of the ruling structures, where reckless borrowing, as experts say, leads to problems that our children and grandchildren will have to repay without us having used them effectively,” Konaković told O kanal's news program.

When asked if there is a place for Denis Zvizdić in People and Justice, Konaković said that he appreciates Denis Zvizdić but that it is too early to talk about it now because his status in the SDA is not yet clear. He added that he performed his duties very correctly at all levels of government, especially in the Council of Ministers.

“He is a man with whom we could build the state of BiH according to the principles of People and Justice,” he said.

He adds that Bakir Izetbegović's reaction was strange and overly nervous.

“Such a bazaar-like reaction does not befit a statesman, as he likes to call himself. We heard threats from him; I didn't understand that Zvizdić was so ultimatum. We saw Izetbegović threatening and pointing a finger at his closest associate with whom he shared good and bad, whom he nominated for the most responsible positions in BiH, stating that he wasn't in the war. A very nervous performance by Bakir Izetbegović,” said Konaković.

When asked if there is a place in NIP for Aljoša Čampara, who recently left the SDA, Konaković emphasized that NIP is “known for the fact that a party card does not mean much, and we have very often nominated non-partisan people for serious positions.”

“We have excellent cooperation with Čampara regarding the KS Assembly and the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament. This matrix of Bakir Izetbegović should worry the people in the SDA more; anyone who says something is wrong in the SDA or opposes it is accused by the president, and demonized by SDA media. Zvizdić will probably soon be some Russian spy, some Gulenist. The SDA should finally look at itself in the mirror,” he said.  

Regarding the appointment of the Prime Minister of the KS Government, Konaković said that NIP will propose a candidate, and Our Party will do the same and propose Edin Forto.

"Together, by consensus, we will decide on the model of action, whether Forto will continue or if it will be one of our cadres. We are not trying to impose the will of People and Justice, and things are resolved by agreement here," he said.

The president of NIP said that the president of the HJPC, Milan Tegeltija, with a series of gaffes, has led to the situation where the entire judiciary is further losing citizens' trust, and he does not deserve to hold that position.

"In his place, I would not wait for any dismissals; he is not up to this position," Konaković concluded.
