Komšić congratulates Trump on the Independence Day of the United States of America

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić sent congratulations to the President of the United States of America Donald J. Trump on the occasion of the Independence Day of the United States of America.

The congratulatory message reads:

It is a great honor for me, on the occasion of the Independence Day of the United States of America, on behalf of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in my own name, to extend the warmest congratulations to you and all citizens of the United States of America, with wishes for the further prosperity and progress of your country.

The values of the Declaration of Independence, adopted on July 4, 1776, continue to be a beacon and an example for all those fighting for freedom, justice, and peace in the world. 

Allow me to take this opportunity to convey expressions of gratitude for the immense help and support that the United States of America has selflessly provided to our homeland. We will never forget the help and support of the United States of America in our struggle for independence, sovereignty, and the fight to preserve Western-civilizational values in this part of Europe.

The citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina deeply respect your persistence in efforts to preserve peace, security, and stability in the world, in which Bosnia and Herzegovina will always be your ally.
