Komšić: Tegeltija and Gudeljević must stop endangering citizens' health

Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić called on the Chairman of the Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija to finally explain to the public why he is not convening a session at which the Council of Ministers of BiH must make a decision on the procurement of vaccines in accordance with the initiative of the BiH Parliament.

Citizens no longer have the patience to listen to the game of broken telephone between Minister Gudeljević and Chairman Tegeltija, who must explain why a session has not been held to date to decide on the procurement of vaccines. It is unacceptable that on the one hand we hear that the competent ministries claim to have fulfilled all obligations in accordance with the requirements of the COVAX mechanism, and yet there is still no concrete progress regarding vaccine procurement.

The negligence of Tegeltija and Gudeljević directly endangers the health of citizens, and no one but themselves can take over their responsibilities and do the job they must perform. If Tegeltija and Gudeljević's goal is to show that the state is incapable of procuring vaccines, in order to send some kind of message, then they should know that playing with citizens' lives will not pay off for them.
