Komšić with EU Ambassadors: BiH Authorities Warned of Growth Plan Tranche Reduction if No Progress on EU Path

(Patria) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić joined the meeting of EU Ambassadors in BiH today, held at the EU Delegation building.

After the meeting, the Head of the EU Delegation Luigi Soreca stated that he thanked Komšić for the open and honest exchange of views.

"We discussed the current political situation in BiH and around the world, with a focus on the current state of the EU path and prospects for progress in the coming months.

Inaction has its price. There is a concrete risk that if Bosnia and Herzegovina does not take swift action regarding the Growth Plan Reform Agenda, there will be a reduction in the total allocation of EUR 976.6 million in EU investments in the coming months.

The EU and its member states will continue to engage with political actors representing different views in BiH to encourage progress on the EU path. The EU's offer is clear, based on common values, mutual respect, and a strong commitment to working for the common good. Enlargement is the best geopolitical investment for the EU and remains the best guarantee of prosperity and stability in BiH," Soreca stated.
