Komšić meets with Radio Sarajevo editorial team: Support for legal amendments to protect journalists

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - At the invitation of the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komšić, a meeting was held between Chairman Komšić and the editorial team of the Radio Sarajevo portal.

The Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Željko Komšić, condemned all forms of pressure and attacks on journalists, including the attack on the editorial team of the Radio Sarajevo portal, and expressed support for journalists.

He stated that media freedom is one of the fundamental pillars of democracy, and that state institutions must not allow anyone to question it.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the overall state of media freedom in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Chairman Komšić expressed his readiness to support the journalists' request regarding amendments to the law that would treat an attack on a journalist as an attack on an official person.

The editorial team of the Radio Sarajevo portal thanked the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the invitation and expressed support.
