(Patria) - Borjana Krišto's shameful statements, a member of the BiH PA House of Representatives and a person aspiring to sit in the BiH Presidency, that BiH is a "state union" have been met with numerous reactions. The member of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić also commented.
"Bosnia and Herzegovina is not some 'state union'. Ms. Krišto has clearly not yet managed to read the first sentence of Article 1 of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which states, 'The Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose official name is now "Bosnia and Herzegovina", continues its legal existence under international law as a state, with an internal structure modified by this Constitution, and with existing internationally recognized borders'. As for the kind of BiH the HDZ fought for, that matter is clear, and that fight is described in the verdicts of international courts," Komšić stated.
Although Krišto very clearly used the term "state union" in her speech, the official statement from HDZ skipped that part of her statement.
