Komšić: NATO troops to protect returnee areas or we will take protective measures ourselves

(Patria) - In an interview with Pobjeda, the Chair of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić says that BiH will find ways to oppose those who are preparing to „sacrifice peace“.

„During the marking of the unconstitutional day of Republika Srpska, we heard only fascist messages based on the theory and practice of blood and soil; fascist revelry and rattling of weapons accompanied by the presence of not only convicted war criminals like Vinko Pandurević, but also those who are preparing to commit new crimes“, says Chairman Komšić.

Answering the question whether this year's celebration of the unconstitutional „holiday“ differed from previous ones, Komšić said he would say it did.

"Since not a millimeter of space was left to doubt the intention of violent destruction of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Similar messages were sent before, now there is no doubt: the goal is to break up the state of BiH.

Which will not be allowed. The intention to preserve the integrity of BiH cannot be prevented by lies: that we - and not them - do not want peace. We want it and we have wanted it more than anyone. However, the authorities in the RS entity have created all the conditions to strengthen its position through an institutional response to their attempt to break up the state.

Komšić said that 'on this occasion I would call on NATO troops to first of all go to returnee areas in the RS entity, where Dodik's phalanges threaten slaughter and killing of civilians'.

"If they do not do that, we will have no other choice but to take protective measures for citizens in those parts of BiH ourselves", added Komšić.
