(Patria) – Newly elected member of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić said in an interview for „Dani“ that he has nothing against BiH using all connections it can with Russia, and increasing trade, i.e., developing economic cooperation to a higher level.
After all, Komšić said, Russia's needs are also great.
„Just as we need their gas, they, for example, need food. And I am not against that being done. But, when it comes to the country's orientation, then there is no dilemma. This country, in my opinion, should go to NATO first, then to the EU“, said Komšić, Patria reports.
Commenting on the presidential vision of progress, in which he stated that BiH's foreign policy is NATO and the EU, and that in the economic segment a special body should be established for cooperation with non-EU countries; Russia, China, and even Turkey, Komšić said that this is logical and pragmatic.
„Why cut those ties for the sake of this strategic political commitment. Neither EU nor NATO countries are cutting them, and they use every opportunity to develop them, improve them, and, after all, to earn money“, said Komšić.
