Komšić: Ethnically inspired attack on Sarajevo's multi-ethnic character

(Patria) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić strongly condemned the drawing of offensive and threatening graffiti below a Christmas wreath on the door of a Catholic family in Sarajevo, emphasizing that it is an attack on the multi-ethnic character of Sarajevo.

"I strongly condemn this ethnically inspired attack on Sarajevo's multi-ethnic character, as well as its lasting value of the common life of all citizens," Komšić said.

"I firmly believe that this is the work of arrogant individuals who, with their thoughtless actions, want to destroy the idea of a civic Bosnia and Herzegovina, a country for all its citizens, regardless of their ethnic, religious, or any other affiliation," he added.

Let us remind you, threatening and offensive messages appeared on the door of a Catholic family's apartment in Sarajevo below a small Christmas wreath hung as a sign of marking the upcoming holidays.

"Do you want me to spray you with a Kalashnikov, I have one," was written on the door.

In addition to the door, offensive messages were also written in the building's entrance hall, with a Kalashnikov drawn in one of them, and below it, the "author" asked if anyone wanted to engage with him.
