Komšić: Dodik obstructs US and BiH fight against terrorism by invoking entity interest

Željko Komšić, member of the BiH Presidency, says that "by invoking the protection of entity interest, as stipulated by the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and not the protection of vital national interest as some call it, the absurdity of Milorad Dodik's moves, as well as the absurdity of the constitutional provisions that do not precisely define this matter, is once again demonstrated".

"After Milorad Dodik, about a year ago, initiated the procedure to determine that certain issues from the territory of the BiH entity Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina are detrimental to the interests of the other BiH entity, Republika Srpska, with which this issue has no connection, and then that the visit of President Milo Đukanović to Bosnia and Herzegovina is allegedly detrimental to the interests of the BiH entity Republika Srpska, now with this new initiation of proceedings to determine that three more issues are allegedly detrimental to the vital entity interest (VEI), he has surpassed himself by showing the complete absurdity of his moves.

The issue of the Memorandum on Passenger Information Exchange with the United States of America, which is part of the fight against terrorism and organized crime, in order to know in real-time whether there are individuals among the passengers involved in such activities and thus take timely measures against such persons, is an interest of Bosnia and Herzegovina, identical to the interest of the United States of America.
If Dodik wants to quarrel with the United States of America, let him do it alone, without the involvement of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina or hiding behind one of its entities.

The same applies to the PISA and PIRLSА projects, which aim to assess the level of general and specific knowledge of our primary and secondary school students through a special type of testing, where Dodik wants him to choose who among the students will be tested and for it to be presented separately, so that the test results show a higher degree of their knowledge than the reality," it was announced from Komšić's Cabinet.
