Klas company buys wheat from domestic farmers

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In order to strengthen the domestic economy and support farmers from BiH, the Klas company decided to buy a portion of wheat from the Agatić family company from Odžak.

With this move, Klas, as a socially responsible company, will strive to ensure that wheat from domestic farmers does not end up on the markets of other countries, but remains within the borders of our country.

"The situation on the wheat market is in a phase of relaxation and the situation is no longer as worrying as it was in the past period. We are happy that we have reached an agreement to buy wheat from farmers from BiH because in this way we directly support the development of the domestic economy, and on the other hand, we ensure a sufficient supply for our customers and end consumers. The Agatić company from Odžak buys wheat from all farmers in this region, and this is proof that by joining forces, we can achieve a lot for the benefit of our country," stated Madžid Avdagić, director of the Klas company.

In this way, Klas, as one of the largest producers of flour and milling-bakery products, wants to contribute to reducing dependence on the import of primary agricultural products, primarily wheat. They believe that only by buying domestic products throughout the entire production chain, from farmers to products on store shelves, can BiH brands have a chance to strengthen and improve the domestic market.

"We do not hide our satisfaction with the business agreement with the Klas company for the purchase of wheat for this year. This cooperation ensures secure business for our farmers. We will continue to invest in this region and work on strengthening the development of agriculture," stated the Agatić company, emphasizing that their goal is to continue cooperation with Klas in the future, in order to keep wheat on our market and thus strengthen the BiH economy."
