SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The company eMEDIT today presented its projects for the digitalization of the health system in KS, vFarm and Doctor When I Need You – platforms that connect the health problems of the population and professionals who need a solution to a medical problem or dilemma.

This innovative IT company, which improves the quality of healthcare and the quality of life of citizens with its own software platforms in the health sector, greatly facilitates the work of all healthcare professionals, while respecting legal legislation and ethical health norms of behavior.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, we have witnessed the great role of diagnostic testing in controlling the pandemic. Further strengthening of the population's testing capacity with rapid antigen tests is necessary due to better accessibility, smaller crowds at previous sampling sites, and consequently slower spread of the COVID19 virus.

The Doctor When I Need You project is the first regional telemedicine platform that connects patients with healthcare professionals, from the comfort of their home, office, diaspora, or hotel room, whether on a tourist or business trip. It often happens that we only need a doctor's advice, a consultation about the health of children or babies, when we have a cold, flu, or COVID19. Such problems do not necessarily require a doctor's visit, and an online conversation from the warmth of home with a doctor of your choice would be all you need at that moment. The platform solves your administrative health barriers. Instead of talking to mid-level medical staff, you have a direct conversation with a specialist doctor.

"Doctor When I Need You is a startup project that we launched a year ago. Currently, over 170 healthcare professionals of various specialties are practicing on this platform. This mode of communication has proven to be ideal during the pandemic, as well as for all situations where a personal visit to the doctor's office is not necessary (repeat and follow-up examinations, information about therapy, information about children's health...). We have implemented this project so far in the Sarajevo Canton and we intend to expand further in order to facilitate access to the healthcare system for as many citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina as possible," stated Kenan Kekić, director of t medIT company.
