BIMAL company is the leader in food production in BiH for the second year in a row

BIMAL dd company is ranked first in the food production industry branch in Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to the results of an analysis conducted by Poslovne novine. At a ceremony within the project “100 largest in BiH”, BIMAL was awarded the prize “1st place in the food production industry branch in BiH by revenue in 2016”, making BIMAL the leader in the production category for the second year in a row, and confirming that the edible oil factory from Brčko is one of the pillars of economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports Patria News Agency.

Continuous investment in the improvement of the production facilities of the Brčko factory, as well as the commitment to the quality of our edible oil, have enabled the food industry of Bosnia and Herzegovina to have a domestic product that promotes quality, development, and growth of the BiH economy - said the Deputy General Director of BIMAL company, Mitja Kovačič.

Based on economic indicators from the balance sheet and income statement, BIMAL achieved a revenue of 194,019,383 KM in 2016, and the growth and stability in business are also confirmed by the data that BIMAL company achieved a revenue of 105 million KM in the first six months of this year.

Thanks to the processing capacities of the Brčko factory, BIMAL currently cooperates with 209 BiH companies from which it purchases goods and services, thus indirectly employing other companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, considering the placement of BIMAL oils on foreign markets, BIMAL positively influences the BiH coverage of imports with exports.

Since 2002, when it became a member of STUDEN Holding, the BIMAL edible oil production factory has increased its production capacities and quintupled its oilseed processing capacity from 26,000 tons per year to the current 120,000 tons of processed seeds. The expansion of BIMAL company's business has also led to the opening of three companies in Serbia, after which the BIMAL Business Group was established, dealing with the production and trade of oilseeds and cereals.
