SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Adriatic Metals PLC has appointed Graham Hill as Chief Operating Officer who will oversee the pre-feasibility, feasibility, and future development of the project in Vareš from the Sarajevo office.
Hill is an experienced engineer with over 35 years of experience overseeing project evaluation and mine development in Africa, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia, the company announced.
He was the CEO of Silver Bear Resources, where he oversaw the feasibility and development of a high-quality silver deposit project in Mangazei, Russia, bringing the project from exploration to commercial production in less than four years.
He began his career at Anglo American Corporation and was selected for their renowned Management Development Program, later leading the design and construction of three operations in South Africa and Mali. Between 2002 and 2011, Hill oversaw the development of several mines for Oxus Gold plc and worked as Chief Operating Officer at Axmin, where he delivered the EIA, infrastructure development, and mine plan optimization for the Passendro Gold project in the Central African Republic.
Adriatic's Chairman Peter Bilbe said that the project in Vareš is progressing and the need to expand and develop the team in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United Kingdom is growing.
"We are extremely pleased that someone of Graham's caliber and experience has joined our team, and we look forward to working with him to realize this exciting project," Bibe said.
Furthermore, Paul Cronin will transition from a non-executive director to an executive director role to lead the Company and advance the pre-feasibility study. Cronin was a co-founder of Adriatic and has been closely involved in the Company's development and growth from the outset.
Geraint Harris will leave Adriatic Metals after an appropriate handover period to Graham Hill to ensure continuity of operations. Since the Company began operations in October 2017, Geraint has made significant contributions to its success, including the ongoing exploration program and successful listing on the ASX.
Adriatic Metals PLC is a zinc polymetal explorer and company listed on the ASX through its 100% interest in the Vareš project in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project encompasses a historical mine with zinc/lead/barite and silver workings at the Veovača and Rupice sites.
Adriatic Metals' short-term goal is to expand the existing resource according to JORC (Australasian Joint Ore Reserves Committee) at Veovača and complete the drilling program to expand the high-grade deposit at Rupice.
Adriatic Metals has assembled a world-class team to accelerate its exploration efforts and quickly bring the Company into the development phase, leveraging its advantage and strategic assets in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
