At the session of the Finance and Budget Commission of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH), the principles of the Proposal for amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in the institutions of BiH, whose proposer is the House of Representatives of the PSBiH, were supported.
The proposed amendment to the Law provides for the deletion of Article 48 of the Law on Salaries and Allowances in the institutions of BiH. Article 48 of the Law stipulates that "elected officials and office holders, after the termination of public office, have the right to compensation for the extension of employment status until they acquire employment status with another entity or meet the conditions for a pension, but for a maximum of one year starting from the day of termination of office", as well as that "compensation includes the basic net salary with an addition for past service and taxes and contributions in accordance with regulations governing this area".
The Report on the performed performance audit on the topic: "Transparency of the work of BiH institutions" was adopted, with recommendations. A conclusion was also adopted, which will be forwarded to the House of Peoples of the PSBiH, by which the Council of Ministers of BiH is tasked to inform the Commission within six months about the planned and undertaken activities on the implementation of recommendations from the Report, and to inform the Audit Office of the Institutions of BiH about the undertaken activities.
