Kolona: The Greek beach lapped by turquoise sea on two sides

(Patria) - Kolona beach is the pride of the Greek island of Kythnos, which covers about 100 square kilometers in the Aegean Sea.

It is part of the Cyclades island group and is located between Serifos and Kea.

The beach is located in the bay of the same name on the northwestern part of the island of Kythnos.

It is actually a narrow sandy strip about 240 meters long that connects Kythnos with the small island of Agios Loukas.

It attracts tourists with its fine golden sand, but also with the beautiful turquoise sea that laps it on two sides.

Although this island has about seventy beaches, locals claim that Kolona is the most beautiful on Kythnos.

Due to its unusual geographical location, it is protected from strong winds, making it extremely attractive to yacht owners.

Near the beach, there is a restaurant and a cafe that offer much-needed refreshment, but if you plan to swim at Kolona, don't forget to bring an umbrella, writes Punkufer.hr.
