(Patria) - Many drivers do not know how much speeding is tolerated on the road without the activation of a police radar.
Namely, by deducting tolerance (subtracting the tolerated value from the measured speed), possible minor errors in speed measurement are compensated.
Radars should be activated at speeds exceeding the limit by one kilometer per hour. However, for speeds below 100 km/h, a mandatory tolerance deduction of 3 km/h applies.
At speeds above 100 km/h, a deduction of three to five percent of the measured driving speed is applied, and fines are even considered invalid if the tolerance deduction has not been made, writes GPMaljevac.
Are there speeds at which radars are not activated?
The classic radar system is actually not activated at speeds above 250 km/h, which is why such meters are no longer used on highways.
Instead, there are modern speed cameras that are often equipped with light sensors.
