How Much Each Betting Shop Paid in Fees and Taxes in the First Four Months of 2017

In the first four months of 2017, 12 organizers of games of chance operating in the Federation of BiH paid a total of 14.5 million KM to the budget of the Federation of BiH and municipal budgets based on advance profit tax, betting fees, RNG game fees, and profit tax on winnings, according to unofficial information obtained by Patria from the FBiH Tax Administration.

The largest portion of this amount was paid by PREMIER betting shop, through its two companies, Premier World Sport and Premier Sport, totaling 7.2 million KM. This company from Čitluk, therefore, paid 49.92 percent on its own, or as much as all other organizers of games of chance in FBiH combined.

BET LIVE and PETICA PLUS betting shops paid around 2.7 million KM or 18.98 percent, and SPORT PLUS and ZMAJEVI betting shops paid around 1.2 million KM or 8.39 percent.

Lutrija BiH paid 229.8 thousand KM, or 1.58 percent, to the FBiH budget and municipal budgets in the first four months of this year.

According to the Law on Profit Tax, the Law on the Allocation of Public Revenues, and the Law on Games of Chance, profit tax, 5 percent fees for bets, and 300 KM per betting point for organizing RNG games are paid into the budget of the Federation of BiH, while according to the Law on Income Tax, tax on winnings from games of chance is paid into municipal budgets.

In accordance with these regulations, organizers of games of chance paid about 10.5 million KM into the budget of the Federation of BiH in the first four months of 2017, and about 4 million KM into the budgets of the municipalities where winnings were realized. It should be noted that this breakdown does not include data on payments for pension and disability insurance (MIO/PIO), health insurance, income tax, or business premises rental tax.

If these figures are projected for the entire year, it can be concluded that organizers of games of chance will pay a total of about 43.6 million KM to the FBiH budget and municipal budgets in 2017, of which about 12 million KM will go to municipal budgets and about 31.6 million KM to the Federation of BiH budget. Of this 43.6 million KM, about 42.9 million KM or 98.42 percent will be paid by private betting shops, and 688.8 thousand KM, or 1.58 percent, will be paid by Lutrija BiH.
