As the start of the World Cup in Brazil approaches, global media are increasingly publishing various topics related to the teams participating in the World Cup, writes the Patria News Agency. Thus, American media today conducted analyses on which coaches will allow their footballers sexual relations during the World Cup.
Jurgen Klinsmann, the coach of the USA, has faced much criticism from the local media for some decisions he has made, but his players are probably satisfied with his statement this week when he said that he will not ban sex during the World Cup.
- We are very casual in the way we approach things. The players' families can come at any time. I think every nation thinks differently. My boys are serious and when they are on the field, they only think about the game and approach their job seriously - said Klinsmann.
The question of whether players should have sex during major tournaments comes up every four years. Journalists further write that Miguel Herrera, the coach of Mexico, announced at the end of May that he will not allow his players to have sex during the tournament.
- If a player cannot go without sexual relations for a month or 20 days, then they are not ready to be professional footballers - said Herrera, adding that forty days of sexual abstinence will not hurt anyone.
Furthermore, American journalists state that Herrera is not alone in this decision and that the coach of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Safet Sušić, also said in April that he will not allow his players to have sexual intercourse during the World Cup, although he added that his players "can find other solutions, and they can even masturbate if they want."
The coaches of Spain, Germany, and Chile have also introduced a ban on sex during the championship.
The coach of Brazil, Luiz Felipe Scolari, has allowed his players, who are under great pressure to win the World Cup, to have sexual relations, but under certain conditions.
- Players can have normal sexual intercourse during the World Cup. Usually, normal sex is good for balance, there are certain forms, certain ways, and others who do acrobatics. We will monitor that and will not allow it - said Scolari.
French manager Didier Deschamps, meanwhile, said that everything "depends on when and how much."
- While coaches talk about the amount of energy their players expend between the sheets, there is no precise scientific evidence to support the idea that abstaining from sex improves athletic performance. Research published suggests there is no difference in the performance of players who have had or have not had sexual relations - states the journalist, referring to "Discovery News" which published research before the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
