Drugs and automatic rifle found on young man

In Olovska Street, Novo Sarajevo municipality, police officers of the II Police Station arrested K.I., born in 1989 in Goražde, residing in Sarajevo, on suspicion of having committed the criminal acts of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs and illegal possession of weapons or explosive materials. During the search, 11 medium-sized packages of plant matter resembling the narcotic drug marijuana were found and seized, the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton announced, as reported by the Bosnian news agency Patria.

One bag with a larger quantity of plant matter resembling the narcotic drug marijuana, one bag with powdery matter resembling a narcotic drug, 2 tablets resembling the narcotic drug ecstasy, one automatic rifle with a magazine and 17 rounds of 7.62 mm caliber ammunition were found.

The prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo was informed, and K.I. was handed over to the Department for Detention of Persons Deprived of Liberty of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton. Police officers continue to work on clarifying and documenting the criminal activities of the said person.
