Lifeless body of returnee Jela Pejić (76) found near Lukavac

(Patria) - In the wider area of Lukavac, specifically in the settlement of Ozren, the lifeless body of an elderly female was found yesterday around 5:20 PM, confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton.

It concerns the Serb returnee Jela Pejić.

The report about the discovery of her body was received by the Lukavac Police Station, whose officers immediately went to the scene, confirmed the accuracy of the claims, and secured the location until the arrival of the investigation team.

As stated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of TK, it concerns a female born in 1949, and the coroner from the Lukavac Health Center confirmed death and visible injuries on the body.

The investigation began yesterday and continued today. A prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton is present at the scene, leading the investigation.

The investigation is being conducted by police officers from the Criminal Police Sector of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of TK, in cooperation with colleagues from the Criminal Police Department of the Lukavac Police Administration.

On the prosecutor's order, intensive investigative actions are currently being taken to determine all circumstances of this event and document the case.
