(Patria) - A 19-year-old young man was killed today in the settlement of Hodžići near Doboj.
He stepped on a leftover mine from the previous war which proved fatal.
According to available information, he wanted to retrieve a goat that had entered a minefield, but tragically lost his life.
Police officers are on the scene, securing the accident site, along with a prosecutor, and are awaiting the demining team of the Republican Civil Protection Administration to proceed further.
BHMAC pointed out at the end of June that 1.6% of BiH's territory is still covered by mine-suspected areas, and the intensity of demining is not at a satisfactory level.
