Coalition of SDA and SBB brought 60 people to Elektroprivreda BiH in half a year

Elektroprivreda BiH hired nearly 150 new people in the past year and a half. In the first six months of this year alone, 60 new employees were hired, writes Patria.

The sudden hiring of employees in one of the most stable companies in the country is surprising given that EP BiH's profit has been in constant decline in recent years. Elektroprivreda's operations are shaken.

Financial reports show that Elektropriveda BiH had a turnover of 981,025,487 KM in 2013, expenses amounted to 924,599,088 KM, and net profit was 37,044,337 KM. Just two years later, in 2015, Elektropriveda achieved a slightly lower turnover, 954,539,111 KM, but net profit fell to only 3,635,753 KM. Elektroprivreda BiH's profit in 2014 was even lower, amounting to only 3,234,760. Experts have been warning for months that Elektroprivreda BiH must cut costs and increase profits if it wants to survive in the market.

A source from Elektroprivreda BiH for the Patria news agency explains that the new employees in one of the largest companies in the country were mainly hired based on recommendations from the ruling parties in the FBiH, SBB and SDA. After the General Elections in BiH in 2014, Elektroprivreda BiH has been managed by cadres from these two parties.

Elektroprivreda BiH also confirmed for Patria that they hired a total of 148 employees during 2015 and the first six months of 2016. In 2015, the company hired 39 employees on permanent contracts and 49 employees on fixed-term contracts. In the first six months of 2016, the company hired 42 employees on permanent contracts and 18 employees on fixed-term contracts.
