WHO MANAGES CITIZENS' HEALTH What the Sarajevo Canton Government Demands from the Crisis Staff

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Government of Sarajevo Canton at today's session took note of the Information from the Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health for monitoring and analyzing the situation caused by the coronavirus regarding the epidemiological situation in Sarajevo Canton, assessments for the upcoming period with proposals for necessary measures, and adopted several conclusions. 

In addition to being informed, the Government's conclusion requested mandatory additional consultations from the Crisis Staff and the Ministry of Health with public health institutions, as well as reports on the admission of Covid patients and regular patients in these institutions, in accordance with previous orders from the authorities.

It is also expected that additional consultations of the Crisis Staff with the Scientific Advisory Body of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Health for monitoring and analyzing the situation caused by the new coronavirus will be urgently conducted, and that they will be conducted continuously.

The Government requested the Crisis Staff to submit concrete proposals for the engagement of potentially necessary additional capacities, in terms of procurement of medical and protective equipment and engagement of medical staff, in relation to the epidemiological situation.

It was also requested that special attention be paid to the organization of work and the implementation of measures in educational institutions, as well as social welfare institutions, and that necessary protective measures in these institutions be proposed to the Government in a timely manner.

In order to provide timely and continuous information to the public, the Crisis Staff was also asked to hold regular press conferences on the current epidemiological situation, as well as on measures and instructions for the population.
