Who is politicizing the review of the verdict: Boycotts and blackmail of the right to justice

Nothing has stirred up the already turbulent Bosnian-Herzegovinian public as much as the announcement of the proposal for a review of the verdict of Bosnia and Herzegovina against Serbia before the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

The deadline for filing the lawsuit expires on February 27. And everyone has risen against Bosnia and Herzegovina. A purely legal issue has turned into a political one, even among some parties that declare themselves pro-Bosnian. Of civic colors.

Belgrade opposes the review of the verdict. But far more so in Banja Luka. Representatives of the BiH entity of Republika Srpska are announcing a blockade of state institutions. And that scenario has already begun. Milorad Dodik is calling for representatives from RS to completely withdraw from state bodies. As things stand now, there will be no withdrawal, but there will be blockades. Aleksandra Pandurević, head of the SDS Club in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced that she will come to the building, but will not enter the session hall. This would be a kind of half-blockade with absolute effects. Eat without me.

This stance from Banja Luka is probably unique in the world. It is not known that the authorities of one country cheered for the regime of another country, against their own state. The authorities from Banja Luka are cheering for neighboring Serbia, and they regularly receive salaries from their own country. So far, they have only had real estate and bank accounts in Serbia, and now they are openly working against BiH for the goals of political Belgrade. They did not think that way at the time when they ordered Serbia, tacitly approving the lawsuit before the ICJ in The Hague. It was Karadžić's fierce revenge on Milošević, but also on Serbia.

The proposal for a review of the verdict is being presented as an attack by Bosniaks on Serbia. The fact that it is a reckoning with a regime that has brought no good to Bosnia or Serbia is deliberately concealed. If there were wisdom, everyone would rush to resolve this issue with the utmost respect for law and morality, and there would be no tripping.

In 2007, the International Court of Justice in The Hague ruled that the Army and police of the Republika Srpska entity were responsible for the genocide in Srebrenica, and Serbia was punished because it knew and did not prevent the genocide. Although they did differently ten years ago, the authorities of RS regularly declared that they did not recognize the Tribunal, nor the International Court of Justice in The Hague. They consider them politically motivated courts. The coincidences and parallels are interesting. The authorities in RS have the same negating attitude towards the international courts in The Hague as they do towards the Constitutional Court and the Court of BiH in Sarajevo. It is probably about avoiding truth and justice, which are unique. It is strange that the regime from Republika Srpska so strongly resists the review of the verdict. Anyone who thinks rationally would look for ways to remove the mortgage of crime from themselves. Only those who are aware of their sins think differently.
