WHO IS CRAZY? Čović Calls for Reconciliation and Recognition of Crimes, While Calling the Hague Verdict a 'Criminal' One

“The HNS is united regarding the verdict and we must recognize it as unacceptable for us, and it is legally unfounded, principled to the end, I would say it is criminal towards every honorable representative of the HVO”, said Dragan Čović, leader of HDZ BiH, shortly after the verdict against the Hague Six for a joint criminal enterprise.

This morning, September 19th, Čović is speaking differently to the Croatian media, meaning, typically for him, perfidiously and extremely insincerely, he says:

“We should all extend a hand of reconciliation. As far as I am concerned, today, tomorrow, any day, I am ready, and I am doing it, to clearly point out everything that is called a crime by my compatriots. In the same way, we should all look at every victim and every crime. If we do that, I think we will permanently resolve these problems", said Čović.

How does Čović mean this and whom is he calling when he is not ready to recognize the Hague verdict? How does he then intend to contribute to the reconciliation of BiH?

Čović is actually politically profiting from the final verdict by constantly leaning on the narrative of the endangerment of Croats in this region. How ready he is for genuine reconciliation is shown by the fact that Čović constantly emphasizes the historical significance of the establishment of the Croatian community, the so-called Croatian Republic of Herceg-Bosna, for ensuring the equal rights of Croats in BiH. This is a para-state creation convicted at the Hague Tribunal.

All of this is based on crime and a joint criminal enterprise.

The Hague Tribunal definitively convicted the leaders of the so-called Herceg-Bosna for a joint criminal enterprise to a total of 111 years in prison. In addition to Jadranko Prlić, Bruno Stojić, Valentin Ćorić, Milivoj Petković, Berislav Pušić, and Slobodan Praljak, who committed suicide when the verdict was announced, were also convicted.
Čović has had a series of speeches and statements in the past that confirmed that his entire policy originated and was cemented in crime and a joint criminal enterprise.

He even said that "the sustainability of BiH depends on the smallest nation."

Čović stated that the destruction of the Old Bridge was not a criminal act but a legal military act.
Therefore, his declarative call for the recognition of crimes is only a superficial and cheap attempt to buy the trust of European officials who are no longer so loudly saying that Čović is the "leader of the EU process in BiH." Čović's story has been read. One publicly, another secretly.

Thus, it is becoming increasingly clear that what Dragan Čović is seeking to secure through the Election Law of BiH is merely the completion and legalization of the ethnic cleansing that began almost 30 years ago.

It is always good to remember such a policy and all the bad things it has brought to the citizens of this country.

A little over 25 years ago, the Croatian Republic of Herceg-Bosna was formed, which grew out of the Croatian Community of Herceg-Bosna founded on November 18, 1991.

The leaders of HDZ BiH and the small parties gathered around this party, united in the HNS and led by the leader of this project, Dragan Čović, are marking the anniversary of the so-called Herceg-Bosna, presenting it as the will of the Croatian people for a free life within BiH.
It is far from freedom, and even further from democratic principles and European values. And it will remain so until the Hague verdict is recognized, then we can talk about freedom.

The greatest symbols of the failed 'little state' are not forgotten, nor will they ever be, numerous camps including Dretelj, Heliodrom, Gabela... The Heliodrom camp was located near Rodoč, south of Mostar, which was previously used only as an HVO helipad, whose helicopter hangars and garages were repurposed into prison cells.

HVO members began holding Bosniak men in the camp from 1993 to mid-1994. The number of prisoners was approximately around 1,800 in May 1993, dropping to around 500 in June.
Prisoners were psychologically and physically abused. In the most severe cases, they were forced to walk in front of HVO forces as human shields. Guards beat them, especially if the HVO was losing on the battlefield. Some prisoners were taken for forced labor, such as digging trenches or building military fortifications, as well as collecting the bodies of dead HVO soldiers.

And so we could remember for years. When Čović admits this, then we can talk about sincere intentions, everything else is shifting blame to others in his desire to achieve what he has long desired. The Election Law in which Čović could rule for the next decade!
