Who is hiding data on BiH citizens fighting in Ukraine and why?

A group of Chetnik Movement volunteers who fought on the side of pro-Russian rebel forces in Ukraine returned to Serbia on Thursday night to Friday, and were met by operatives of the BIA, the Serbian security agency, at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport, Serbian media report.

BIA operatives were interested in the details of their stay in Novorossiya, as they call the area around Donetsk and Luhansk that rebelled against Kyiv.

Although BiH has a Law on the Prohibition of Participation of its Citizens in Foreign Battlefields, with a prison sentence of three to ten years, its implementation is still pending, and no one has yet been punished for participating in foreign military, paramilitary, or paramilitary police forces.

What is even more devastating is that the competent police agencies in our country currently have no data at all on whether and how many BiH citizens are in the battlefield in Ukraine.

As Patria learns from SIPA, this agency has no data on this at all.

-We have data on those who go to the battlefields in Syria or Iraq, but regarding going to Ukraine, none of the police agencies have it. Whether some structures within OSA are obstructing and not submitting them to the competent addresses, whether some other agency, I don't know, but what is certain is that there is no official data. There was talk of a certain number of 10 BiH citizens who went to Ukraine, but that was unreliable information - says our source on condition of anonymity.

However, the authorities in Belgrade, despite the fact that Serbia has not yet adopted this law, are clearly not sitting idly by. Local services have data that about 30 of their citizens are on the battlefield in Ukraine.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić has also actively engaged in this issue, calling on all those fighting in Ukraine, most of whom are there for financial gain, to return to Serbia, emphasizing that it is not their place to fight in a foreign country for either 6,000 or 1,200 dollars.

According to data from police and security structures in BiH, "warriors" from our country who end up on some foreign battlefield receive a salary of 4,000 to 20,000 KM.
