Bosniak Club in the House of Representatives of BiH PS seeks urgent amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in BiH Institutions

SARAJevo, (Patria) – The Bosniak Club in the House of Representatives of BiH PS has submitted a Bill on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in BiH Institutions, which would apply to officials and dignitaries whose salaries have been increased by approximately 500 KM due to coefficients, while soldiers, police officers of state agencies, and civil servants would receive an increase of around 80 to 100 KM.

Today, the Bill on the Budget of Institutions and International Obligations for 2022 was adopted in the same form as in the House of Representatives of BiH PS, which means the state budget has finally been adopted.

On the other hand, the Bosniak Club is seeking urgent consideration of the amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in BiH Institutions.

Asim Sarajlić, president of the Bosniak Club, stated at today's session that the amendments to the law would involve a 12.4 percent reduction in the coefficient for everyone whose coefficient is greater than 4.

This would mean a salary reduction for officials, while vulnerable categories would not be affected.

Due to the increase in the base salary to 535 KM, which covers all employees in BiH institutions, and due to the salary grades used to calculate salaries with high coefficients, officials would have a salary increase of 500 KM.

After it became clear what a blow this would be to the BiH budget and the public's revolt, the SDA announced that they would urgently seek amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in BiH Institutions.

Therefore, it is expected that the House of Representatives of BiH PS will also consider this proposal, which would truly show who is a populist and who is a moralist.
