Donald Trump's Key Aides Receive Bomb Threats

(Patria) - Several candidates for Donald Trump's cabinet and members of his administration have received bomb threats, the FBI announced.

"We take all potential threats seriously and encourage the public to report anything they consider suspicious to the police," the FBI said in a statement.

- The threats were made on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, and the police acted quickly to ensure the safety of those targeted, said Karoline Leavitt, spokesperson for Trump's transition team.

CBS reports that Trump's nominee for Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick, also received a threat, reports Index.hr.

Florida Republican Matt Gaetz, who recently withdrew from the race for US Attorney General, was also the target of a false bomb threat.

Fox News reported that John Ratcliffe, Trump's nominee for CIA Director, and nominee for Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth also received threats.

Three officials confirmed to NBC News that the threats were false.
