Slippery roads, snow and strong bora make driving difficult across Bosnia and Herzegovina, trucks banned over Romanija

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - According to data collected by the BIHAMK Information Center, this morning traffic is on wet and slippery roads on most routes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In sections in higher mountain areas of central and eastern Bosnia, snow is hindering traffic. We highlight the following routes: Sarajevo-Tuzla, Trnovo-Foča, and Han Pijesak-Vlasenica. On the Romanija mountain pass (Sarajevo-Rogatica), a ban on traffic is in effect for trucks with trailers and semi-trailers due to snow and ice on the road.

In Herzegovina and southwestern Bosnia, extremely strong bora is hindering traffic, and on the roads in the areas of Livno, Šuica, Kupres, and Glamoč, strong winds are creating snowdrifts.

We appeal to drivers to drive with maximum caution on all routes and to adjust their driving to the current conditions and road conditions. Please note, do not set off without winter equipment.

Traffic is slower due to works on the main roads: Banja Luka-Klašnice (Zalužani), Sarajevo-Pale (Čeljigovići tunnel), and Jajce-Donji Vakuf (Skela tunnel).

There are short delays at border crossings.
