"Klas" opens pasta production plant in Srebrenica today

Bosnian food industry company „Klas“ opens a pasta production plant in Srebrenica today, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The most famous Bosnian food company will initially produce only pasta in Srebrenica, but will soon also start purchasing berries and grains, NAP writes.

Ćamil Duraković, Mayor of the Srebrenica Municipality, told Patria that it is very important that a large company like „Klas“ is now physically present in the area of the Srebrenica Municipality. He hopes that the company will expand even further with its plants in this municipality.

During the Serbian aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina from '92 to '95, more than 10,000 Bosniaks were killed in Srebrenica, and in July '95, the largest genocide in Europe after World War II was committed in this town, when more than 8,000 Bosniaks were killed in just three days, NAP writes.
